Larry began performing in 1963 with a group called the Pentagons. They mostly worked around Akron, Kent, local area. He then went on the road with the Candy Johnson Show and worked at the 1964 Worlds Fair in NY. They did 8 to 10 shows a day, 6 to 7 days a week with a woman known as the "Queen of the Twist" and "Miss Perpetual Motion".
After the World's Fair, Larry teamed up with his friend Mickey and they became Mickey & Larry and the Exciters. They toured for 12 years together, opening for people like Tom Jones, Liza Minnelli, Bobby Rydell, Fats Domino, Wayne Newton, Sly and Family Stone, Wayne Cochran & the CC Riders as well as many more well known acts. Also, performing at the Plaza Hotel in New York, the Hilton International and the Flamingo in Vegas, the Sheraton in Hawaii, and many of the top clubs in the United States. Mickey and Larry remain close after all these years and occasionally still perform together.

Mickey & Larry and the Exciters played The Joey Bishop Show, Today Show, Mike Douglas Show and many more venues. They also played in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, Reno, New York, Puerto Rico, Hawaii, Boston, LA., Spain, and were chosen as the "Show Group of the Year" by the The Chicago Sun Times!
Currently, Larry is entertaining crowds in Northeast Ohio singing the most popular songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and modern day hits (Uptown Funk, Can't Stop the Feeling, etc.). You can find him entertaining crowds at Tangier in Akron, the Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls, D'Agnese in Akron, Jimmy's in Canton, Prestwick, Fairlawn, and Portage Country Clubs to name a few. He is accepting requests to play at nightclubs, weddings, private parties, graduations, class reunions and more.
