How do you choose the right editing help for your manuscript?
Hi everyone, I’ve just finished the first draft of my novel and I know it needs polishing. I’m thinking about hiring a professional book editing service but I’m unsure how to evaluate one properly. What should I expect in terms of editing quality and communication? Has anyone had good or bad experiences? I’d appreciate your insight before making a decision.

I struggled with this too. When I was polishing my first manuscript, I kept bouncing between editors, unsure who really understood my voice. A friend who once asked US Online Class Taker for help on a completely different project (something like take my HESI exam stress-related support) told me to treat editing the same way look for someone who understands your tone, not just the grammar. Once I finally found an editor who “got” my story, everything fell into place.
